The calls you miss, answered as your restaurant, and a text about each.
At pickup. The site takes the order and the pickup time, and you take payment at your counter as you do now. It doesn’t take card payments online yet.
Each order comes to you as a text with what was ordered, the name, the phone number and the pickup time: on WhatsApp or iMessage, wherever you text NoClick, and by email until you do. Every order is also saved in your site’s own database, which NoClick can read back to you.
Yes, by texting NoClick the change, like “Horchata is $4 now.” It updates the menu and the order totals, and tells you when the change is live. You can also ask it what came in: “How many orders came in today?”
Nothing a month on Free for a typical restaurant: hosting the site, its orders database and the order texts come to under 1¢ at cost for 100 orders, inside the $5 of usage Free includes each month. In our test, building the site and checking it used about 13¢ of usage. NoClick takes no commission on orders. A .com of your own is optional: $12.99 the first year, then $21.99 a year.
On orders placed in its app, DoorDash takes 6% of a pickup order and 15% of a delivery on Basic, 25% of a delivery on Plus, 30% of a delivery on Premier; that covers its listing, its couriers and card processing. On 100 pickup orders of $20, that’s $120 a month. DoorDash’s own Online Ordering, for restaurants with a DoorDash store, takes no commission on orders through your site and charges card processing.
