Can I stop the agent from deleting emails?

Yes. Permanently Delete Message and Permanently Delete Thread are separate operations, so if you do not allowlist them, the agent cannot delete anything in Gmail. Expose Create Email Draft and Create Email Label for an agent that only writes and files.

Does the agent send email on its own?

Only if you let it. If you expose Create Email Draft but not Forward Email Message, everything it produces stays as a draft for a human to review and send. You choose which Gmail operations become tools.

Are my MongoDB connection and Gmail account exposed to the model?

No. Both resolve server-side when a tool runs, so the MongoDB connection string and the Gmail credential stay out of the model's context. The agent calls Aggregate or Create Email Draft by name and NoClick supplies the credential.

What does it mean to connect an app to Claude Code?
