An intake list works beautifully right up to the week it fills with tasks titled help please. This agent watches the list your requests land in, sorts each one against rules you write in ordinary words, tags it, gives it to whoever does that kind of work, and answers in the task with either its destination or the two things it still needs. Requesters hear back in a minute, and no ops lead spends Monday reading forty tasks to work out which ones are real.
Task events fire constantly in ClickUp. Will this thing loop on itself?
It cannot. The first move on every event is a check of whether the task is new, whether it is in your intake list, and whether the last change came from the agent. Anything failing that check ends the run before a single write happens, which is also why most events cost almost nothing.
What access does it need in our workspace?
A ClickUp token that can read and update tasks in the space holding your intake list, and a Slack channel for pings. Your intake rules and ownership map go in as variables you edit in plain English. There is nothing to install in ClickUp and no native automations to rebuild.
Can it move something into the wrong place and lose it?
The reach is deliberately small: existing tags, the assignee, and one comment. It never closes, deletes, or archives a task, so a mistake is a wrong tag you clear in a click and the task itself stays exactly where you can see it. Rehearse it on the staged requests first and read the comments it wants to leave.
