Long output stays in shape

Sixty items compressed into a headline, a source, a link and one sentence each is where formatting usually degrades. Sustained structure holds up well here.

Before you fork

Does it read the articles or just the feed?

Only what the feed carries, and where an entry has a headline with no summary the template requires it to say so and link out rather than guess. That keeps the run cheap and the digest honest at once. If you want fuller summaries, the fix is subscribing to full-text feeds, not changing harness.
