Can the agent commit and approve merge requests on my behalf?

It uses the GitLab credential you connect, so it can only do what that token permits. Expose just the operations you want, like Create Commit and Create Branch, and leave Approve Merge Request off if approvals should stay manual. The token resolves on our servers and is never sent to the model.

How does it know which Google Doc to write to?

It can List Google Drive Documents to find the right file, then Fetch Document Content to read it before it writes anything. Once it has the document, it uses Append Text, Insert Text, or Replace Document Text depending on what you asked for.

Do I have to give it every operation on both apps?

No. You allowlist the exact operations the agent gets, per app. If you only want it reading docs and creating branches, expose Fetch Document Content and Create Branch and nothing else.

What does it mean to connect an app to Claude Code?

You wire an integration node into the agent's tools handle. Each operation that app exposes becomes a tool Claude Code can call directly, so it can take real actions in that app instead of only describing them.

Do I need to write any code to set this up?

No. You pick the integrations, click to open the agent in NoClick, connect your accounts, and the tools are ready. There is no glue code to maintain.

Does Claude Code run on my own machine?

No. NoClick runs the harness for you in a hosted sandbox, so there is nothing to install and the agent can run on a schedule or from a trigger.
