Will Codex delete our email or just draft it?

It only runs the Gmail operations you allowlist. If you expose Create Email Draft and Create Email Label but leave out Permanently Delete Message and Delete Email Draft, it can write drafts and organize labels with no way to delete anything. Destructive operations stay off the table unless you deliberately turn them on.

Can it approve merge requests without a human?

Yes, if Approve Merge Request is in the allowlist, which is why you control that list per agent. Expose only Create Branch and Create Commit if you want it to prepare changes but leave the approval to a person.

Where do the GitLab and Gmail credentials sit during a run?

They resolve server side when each tool fires and never enter the model's context. Codex works with tool names and arguments, so your GitLab token and Gmail auth never appear in the transcript.

How does Codex get access to my apps?

You connect an integration to the agent's tools handle and select which operations to expose. Codex then calls those operations as tools, authenticated with the credentials you connect in NoClick.

Is this the same Codex CLI?

Yes. NoClick runs the Codex harness for you and adds your connected apps as tools. You do not have to install or manage anything locally.

Can I trigger a Codex agent automatically?
