Does OpenClaw need full access to my HubSpot?

It uses the HubSpot credential you connect and can only run the operations you expose, such as Batch Read Records and Batch Create Records. Scope the token to the objects you want it near. The credential is resolved on our side and never reaches the model.

Can I let it read HubSpot but not change ClickUp?

Yes. Allowlist only the HubSpot read operations and leave the ClickUp write operations off, and the agent has no way to modify tasks. You control each app's operation list separately.

How does it link a HubSpot record to a ClickUp task?

With both tools connected, it batch-reads the HubSpot records, adds a task to the right ClickUp list, and can add a task link so the two point at each other. It carries the record ids across in the same run. Nothing about the HubSpot connection is exposed to the model itself.

How does OpenClaw act on my apps?

You connect an integration to the agent's tools handle and select operations. OpenClaw calls those operations as tools while it runs.

Is there anything to install?
