A synchronous run waits for the Actor to finish and returns results in the same step, with a cap of about 300 seconds, which suits quick scrapes. An asynchronous run starts the job and returns immediately, so for longer crawls you poll the run status and then fetch the dataset items.

How do I get scraped data out of Apify in NoClick?

Scraped results land in an Apify dataset. You can use Run Actor Sync and Get Dataset Items to receive them directly, or call Get Dataset Items separately against a known dataset ID. Dataset metadata and statistics are also available.

What is an Actor Task and why would I use one?
