Each run makes a small number of profile and metric calls, and Klaviyo meters those per account, so a genuine flood can be throttled. That is worth planning for rather than fearing: the thing you need out of a flood is the spike message, which comes from one rate read, and individual suppressions can catch up behind it. If you send to very large lists, set the spike threshold low enough that the alert arrives early.
