Linear Issue Triage Agent with Claude Code

Every issue that lands gets the same four moves in the same order, and the first one is a workspace search that has to happen before a word is written. What comes back then has to be opened and compared, because putting ENG-214 in a comment as a possible duplicate is only worth doing when it really is the same crash. Claude Code reads what it has been handed before it changes anything, which is the habit this order rewards.

Watch it work before it's live

Run a staged conversation — no account needed. The agent handles it for real while a simulated world answers its tool calls; nothing touches real accounts, and nothing is actually sent.

iOS app signs the user out when the phone hands off from wifi to LTE

created by Aditi Raghunathan

Started with build 5.9.1, which shipped Tuesday. On iOS 18.4, walk out of wifi range with the app open and the session token gets dropped, so the next tap lands on the login screen. Nine people in the beta channel hit it today, two of them on the Kerslake account. Android is unaffected.

Set up in minutes

Using this template drops you into a guided setup. It asks exactly this, nothing else:

  1. Connect Linear

One sign-in. The agent acts through your account, scoped to what this template uses.

  2. Connect Slack

One sign-in. The agent acts through your account, scoped to what this template uses.

  3. Triage guide

Your triage rules in plain English - which labels you genuinely use and what each one means, what clears the urgent bar, and the repro details your engineers always end up chasing. Nothing gets classified from anywhere else.

  4. Team map

Each area of the product and the Linear member who owns it, and where to send an issue whose area is not obvious.

  5. Runs on Claude Code

Preselected for this page — connect your Claude Code account during setup, or switch to NoClick's built-in models with one click.

  6. Watch it handle a test run

A staged conversation against a simulated world — then it’s live.

Why Claude Code for this agent

Compares before it claims

A symptom search usually hands back three candidates and one real match. This harness opens them rather than matching keywords, so the identifier in the comment is one a human confirms at a glance instead of one they have to disprove.

Four calls in a fixed order

Search, workspace label list, member list, comment. Carrying a multi step sequence across several connected tools is what Claude Code is built for, so the comment ends up describing the search that actually ran.

Before you fork

Does it work through the issues already sitting in our triage view?

No. It wakes on issues created from the moment you switch it on, so yesterday's backlog stays yours. That is deliberate, because a first pass over two hundred old issues would notify every reporter at once. Clear the pile by hand, then let the agent hold the line from there.
