The message format is strict on purpose: THREAD, TRACTION, IN THE COMMENTS with up to three replies quoted exactly, then WHAT I WOULD DO in one sentence. Codex is good on well-scoped tasks with a defined output, and the discipline that matters here is numeric, since every score and comment count has to come off the post rather than out of an impression.
Run a staged conversation — no account needed. The agent handles it for real while a simulated world answers its tool calls; nothing touches real accounts, and nothing is actually sent.
We moved 40 client sites off our old vendor in June, here is what actually broke
Posted 90 minutes ago, now at 612 upvotes with a 0.94 upvote ratio and 208 comments, and it has reached the front page of r/all. The post names us as the replacement and calls our migration tooling rough but survivable. The top comment, from u/sara_devlin, says our support took nine days to answer a billing question. Two people ask whether we support SAML, and someone who works for a competitor has replied twice without saying where they work.
Using this template drops you into a guided setup. It asks exactly this, nothing else:

Connect Slack

Watch terms
The names, domains and competitor brands you want found, plus the subreddits your buyers actually post in. Write the misspellings too, since these strings are searched exactly as you type them.
Ping policy
Which threads are worth interrupting somebody for and which can wait for the end of day roundup: score thresholds, the subreddits that always matter, complaint threads, plus the Slack channel they land in.

Watch it handle a test run
A staged conversation against a simulated world — then it’s live.
A score of 612 and a ratio of 0.94 go in as they are. Rounding up for effect is the small dishonesty that makes a channel useless for decisions.
Three replies at most, word for word, each attributed. Paraphrasing a Reddit comment is how a brand ends up responding to something nobody said.
They come from the post the sweep fetched, so score, ratio, comment count and age are read values rather than estimates. The check worth doing once is to open a reported thread and compare, because a model reconstructing a count from the comments it happened to read instead of from the post undermines everything else in the message.
Free to start. Guided setup, a test run against staged conversations, and it's live.
