Do we need an engineer to keep this working?

Not for the day to day. Connections are OAuth clicks and the behaviour is text you edit, so the usual maintenance is adding a Notion page after you write a new policy. You will want someone with admin rights for the initial Slack and Notion connections, and after that it is an HR-owned agent.
