Can Codex write to our production data?

It runs only the MongoDB operations you allowlist. Bulk Write and Run Command can change data, so leave them off and expose Count Documents, Aggregate, and the search operations if you want a read-and-report agent. You decide per agent which operations it holds.

How does it tie a database change back to the code?

It reads the merge state from GitLab first, then runs the MongoDB operation, and can commit a note back with Create Commit. Because both tools are wired at once, the same run that approves the change also makes and records it.

Where do the credentials live during a run?

The MongoDB connection and the GitLab token resolve server side when a tool runs and never reach the model. Codex sees tool names and arguments only, so your database credentials stay out of the conversation.

How does Codex get access to my apps?

You connect an integration to the agent's tools handle and select which operations to expose. Codex then calls those operations as tools, authenticated with the credentials you connect in NoClick.

Is this the same Codex CLI?

Yes. NoClick runs the Codex harness for you and adds your connected apps as tools. You do not have to install or manage anything locally.

Can I trigger a Codex agent automatically?
