Reproduced on staging 3.14.2 and twice in production this morning. Add 41 items to a cart, press Pay, and the call to /orders/confirm returns 500 and the cart is emptied. Forty items is fine. Both production hits were wholesale accounts, one of them Kettleby Foods. The trace points at the tax line splitter.

Asks for what is absent

Naming the missing version, environment or steps takes reading the report closely. The alternative is pasting the same checklist at every reporter until they stop filing.

Will the duplicate search actually catch duplicates?

It catches the ones that share wording with an existing issue, which covers most re-reports and misses a duplicate described in completely different terms. When it does find one it links the key in its comment rather than closing anything, so a wrong match costs a click. A missed one leaves you exactly where you are today.
