Monday.com Board Assistant with Claude Code

Board automations usually break the week somebody renames a status label and the rule keeps writing a value the column no longer accepts. This assistant loads the live board and its groups before writing anything, works only from the labels a column actually offers, and leaves a cell empty rather than forcing one. That check only pays off with a harness willing to look first, which is where Claude Code's habit of reading before it alters anything earns its keep.

Watch it work before it's live

Run a staged conversation — no account needed. The agent handles it for real while a simulated world answers its tool calls; nothing touches real accounts, and nothing is actually sent.

Aurelia Dental Group

NewE

added by Elif Demir

New row added after the contract was signed on 12 March. Three clinics, Growth annual plan, and they have asked for a kickoff call in the week of 24 March. Owner column is empty and status is blank.

Why Claude Code for this agent

Live board, not a stale map

Column titles and accepted labels are read at the start of every run, so a rename surfaces as an unset cell explained in the update rather than as a silent failure nobody notices for a month.

Says what it did not do

The item update names the column left blank and the reason. Reporting the thing it could not settle is the part that keeps a board honest, and careful agents are better at it.

Before you fork

Does the model I connect change what lands in the owner column?

It changes the borderline calls rather than the mechanics. Matching a label and resolving a member against the board user list works on any reasonable model. Deciding whether two of your rules both apply to a thin row is judgement, and a stronger model is likelier to leave the column empty and explain why than to pick the closer looking rule.
