Social Listening Agent

Sweeps Reddit every hour for every mention of your brand, logs all of them to Airtable with sentiment and priority, and pings Slack only for the ones that need an answer today.

Guided setup — test it before connecting anything.

Watch it work before it's live

Run a staged conversation — no account needed. The agent handles it for real while a simulated world answers its tool calls; nothing touches real accounts, and nothing is actually sent.

Hourly sweep, Tuesday 09:00

Hourly scheduleevery hour, on the hour

The 09:00 tick fires and the last sweep ran an hour ago. Since then there are four new hits: a r/webdev thread where u/marek_dvorak recommends us in passing, two neutral pricing questions in r/SaaS, and a post in r/smallbusiness from u/naledi_mokoena asking whether anyone has migrated over from the competitor and how long it took.

Set up in minutes

Using this template drops you into a guided setup. It asks exactly this, nothing else:

  1. Connect Reddit

One sign-in. The agent acts through your account, scoped to what this template uses.

  2. Connect Slack

One sign-in. The agent acts through your account, scoped to what this template uses.

  3. Connect Airtable

One sign-in. The agent acts through your account, scoped to what this template uses.

  4. Brand terms

Every term worth watching, in your words: your product and company names, the misspellings people actually type, your domain, your founders' names, and the competitors you want compared against. The agent searches exactly these and treats everything else as noise.

  5. Response policy

What earns an immediate Slack ping versus a quiet Airtable log, for example an unanswered complaint or someone asking which tool to buy pings, a neutral mention of your category does not. Say it the way you would tell a new teammate.

  6. Choose which agent runs it

NoClick's built-in models work out of the box — or bring Claude Code, Codex, and other coding agents on your own subscription.

  7. Watch it handle a test run

A staged conversation against a simulated world — then it’s live.

About this agent

Reddit mentions usually get found days late, by accident, by whoever happened to be scrolling. This agent runs a sweep every hour against the exact terms you care about, logs everything it finds to Airtable with sentiment and priority, and only interrupts your team when a post genuinely needs a reply. Small social teams use this pattern to cover hundreds of posts a day and still only look at the ten or fifteen that matter.

What people use it for

  • Answer complaints within the hour - A frustrated user who posts at 2am is answered the same morning instead of three days later, because every sweep checks the threads where your users actually complain.
  • Catch buying questions early - Threads asking which tool to pick get flagged the moment they appear, while the post is still on the front page and a reply still changes the outcome.
  • A searchable record of every mention - Everything the sweep finds lands in Airtable with a link, sentiment, and priority. A quarter of mentions becomes a dataset you can actually chart instead of a folder of screenshots.
  • Watch competitors in the same pass - Add competitor names to the watch list and every comparison thread and migration question gets logged next to your own mentions, at no extra effort.

Before you fork

What do I need connected before this runs?

A Reddit account for search, a Slack workspace with the channel you want pings in, and an Airtable base with a table for mentions. Setup walks you through each connection, and the first Test Run shows you exactly what a sweep produces before you let it run live.

Will it reply or post on Reddit?

No. It only reads: search, subreddit posts, and comments. Its instructions say never to reply, comment, or vote, and it has no Reddit write tool wired in, so the worst case is a logged mention you did not need. Every reply is still a human decision.

What does it cost to run every hour?

One agent run per sweep, so 24 a day. Most are cheap because the agent reads a handful of results and sends nothing; the expensive ones are the busy hours where it reads full comment threads. If your volume is low, change the schedule to every three or six hours and nothing else needs to change.
